At Push Mobility, the safety of our community is our highest priority. We are sharing an important notice regarding the SmartDrive MX2+ SpeedControl Dial, which has been included in a worldwide safety recall issued by Permobil.
What’s the Issue?
The SpeedControl Dial has been linked to several serious safety risks, including:

Unintended movement of the wheelchair

Sudden power loss or failure to stop
Because of these risks, we strongly advise all users to stop using the SpeedControl Dial immediately.

Our supplier, Permobil, is currently waiting on new stock of replacement Buddy Buttons. Once these are available, Push Mobility will contact affected users directly to arrange fitting at no cost.

1. Can I still use my SmartDrive without the SpeedControl Dial?
Yes. You can safely use your SmartDrive with a smartwatch, button control, or a Buddy Button once available. Please do not use the SpeedControl Dial.
2. How long will replacements take?
Permobil is currently waiting on new stock of Buddy Buttons. Once available, we will contact you directly to arrange your replacement and fitting at no cost.
3. Is there any cost involved in the replacement?
No. The replacement will be provided free of charge, including fitting.
4. What should I do if I need help switching to button or smartwatch control?
