Rolapal Dreamline Wheelchair Backrests
Configure a Dreamline wheelchair backrest by shell material, contour profile and mounting hardware. Installation and final configuration must be completed by a qualified seating therapist or technician.
Choose your backrest model
- Contour: aluminium shell with deep built-in lower lateral support to position the pelvis and lower thorax, while preserving upper-thoracic and scapular clearance.
- Ignite Aluminium: a lightweight rigid aluminium shell for active users wanting efficient propulsion with additional positioning support.
- Ignite Pro Carbon: an ultra-light carbon-fibre shell for responsive handling and reduced backrest weight.
Understanding contour profiles
- Active (approximately 2″ profile): the shallowest lateral contour. Best suited to active users who want minimal restriction, good upper-body freedom and a stable base for self-propulsion.
- Medium (approximately 4″ profile): moderate lateral contouring to improve trunk stability and encourage a midline sitting position while retaining freedom of movement.
- Deep (approximately 6″ profile): the greatest lateral contouring for users needing maximum lateral trunk stability and more substantial positioning support.
- Standard: used for the Contour model, whose integrated lower lateral shaping provides targeted pelvic and lower-thoracic support.
Foam, pressure care and comfort
Dreamline’s Bubble Contour foam has shaped “bubble” channels that reduce foam tension, support immersion and create airflow pathways. A soft Sunmate visco-elastic foam overlay conforms to the body to help distribute pressure and reduce shear. Together, the layers support comfort and pressure redistribution while the breathable FLO2™ four-way-stretch cover helps manage moisture and heat.
Mounting hardware
- Fixed hardware: a stable, permanent mounting choice for a consistent wheelchair setup.
- Quick-release hardware: allows the backrest to be removed or refitted more easily for transport, storage or configuration needs.
The displayed price is for the selected backrest configuration. Confirm hardware suitability, any additional components and clinical setup requirements with a seating professional before ordering.
