Description
These 3D printed wheelchair racing gloves are made bespoke for anyone wanting to get the perfect pushing technique and trim some seconds off their track or road race times. These wheelchair racing gloves have been developed over a long period using many prototypes and numerous testers. The internal structure and pushing surface has been designed to get the perfect fit, feel and connection with the push rims. They are contoured to feel great in the hands and to get the correct position on the push rims during the contact, drive and release phases of each push.
We 3D print your gloves to order using your exact hand measurements and manufacture using a high tech plastic to ensure strength, impact resistance and comfort. The gloves come covered in our custom racing glove rubber – the best glove rubber available on the market. Each pair comes with a set of silk glove liners and self-adhesive foam to give the best possible fit.
Which Version of Wheelchair Racing Gloves will be best for Me? Standard or Quad style?
There are two versions of the wheelchair racing gloves. The standard racing glove is for those with the ability to wrap their fingers around the glove without assistance.
The second version is a quad version for those with reduced hand function. If you struggle to hold onto hard gloves due to reduced hand function, our quad gloves include finger straps to allow fingers to be pulled into position to “grip” the gloves, even if your fingers don’t stay in position due to lack of finger strength or muscle control. The quad gloves also include a wrist strap to help secure them to your hand and position the gloves for the best push possible.
The quad version also comes with a wrist guard made of a thick, durable fabric which many racers use to push with to give extra grip when going up steep hills or track racing starts. This fabric allows you to pull from further back on the push rim using biceps to get increase your power transfer before moving to the rubber part of the glove once at a higher speed.
All orders of racing gloves come with a free pair of black silk glove liners. These help with comfort and absorb sweat when pushing which reduces movement between glove and hand therefore reducing likelihood of blisters.
