FAQs:
Q: What is the programmer for?
A: As you know you can program through the joystick but having the programmer lets you do things like save programs, load new programs such as the CP program for those that have control issues, power seating changes, and so on.
Q: Is a seat cushion something I would have to order separately
A: Every Strike Force comes with a cushion. The standard cushion is the Express Gel. Some chairs have an M2 cushion, this is due to size they do not make express in a 20”x20” so it will be supplied with the M2.
Q: What is the seat height of the standard wheelchair and was is the elevated seat height with seat elevation?
A: The standard height at the top of the 3-inch cushion is 14.5” at the back and 16.5” at the front of the seat. The elevated seating is about ½ an inch higher in the down position and has 5.5” of elevation and comes forward 5”.
Q: The Strike Force is not transport approved/crash tested is it? But it is transit approved.
A: We are CE approved and we have done impact testing. The Strike Force is safer for transport than any of the day chairs due to its construction and low center of gravity.
Q: What is the difference between the different battery chargers?
A: Any three-pin 24V mobility charger rated for GEL batteries will work.
Q: Is there any particular battery charger you should choose?
A: 8 AMP
Q: You've opted for the 2 bar footplate, what is the difference between that and the other options?
A: The Two bar footplate is better for users with different lengthed legs/ or longer legs The single plate is fine and sufficient for most users.
Q: Transportation Mounts? Important?
A: The transportation mounts keep the parts of the chair secure during travel and are highly recommended.
Q: Can you get the 4 point harness on either option?
A: Yes
Q: Which headrest would we recommend? - The standard or full support?
A: The full support stems from behind the seat and adds extra support to the head and neck.
Q: What's the difference between the standard seatbelt and the interlocking?
A: The interlock does not allow the chair to operate unless engaged.
Q: What's the go with ongoing maintenance?
A: If you're located in Victoria, you can book an appointment to visit our HQ in Melbourne's Inner East to get it maintained/serviced/adjusted - Alternatively we can come out to you. We are currently trying to sourcing technicians in NT, WA, SA & ACT who can assist with maintenance.
